First overall pick in the NBA 2023-2024 Draft, Victor Wembanyama was arrested in San Antonio Texas and is facing DUI and Manslaughter charges on Sunday, January 14th 2024. Wembanyama was driving while drunk and hit an elderly woman by the name of Satik Ranga at 146 MPH, Ranga was pronounced deceased at the crime scene. Victor Wembanyama will have a court hearing on Thursday, January 18th 2024. The San Antonio Spurs have released Victor to free agency after this tragedy.
