New Orleans - Terrence K. Washington a man who robbed a bank to pay for his wedding was convicted of theft by a court in Louisiana on Wednesday and given a federal prison sentence, media reported.

The 31-year-old upcoming rap artist stole $62,000 from a bank in Harvey Louisiana in July.

As he was a regular client, police had little difficulty finding him after he returned from Atlanta, where he had celebrated his new marriage to Atlanta hairstylist Carmeica L. Watson. According to sources, The privately held wedding with only 8 guests in attendance was lavishly funded in Barbados, eastern Caribbean island. New Orleans press agency Time-Picayune reported.
The robber will see less of his wife for the 30 years he will have to spend in federal prison under the sentence, which also includes a period of probation.

It was not his first crime of this type in LA. Last year, Washington robbed the New Herberia Bank located East of New Orleans in Slidell LA with two other assailants Dan Robinson and Randall F. Jackson which netted over $290,000. He was found guilty of holding up banks four times to finance his wedding and a home for his new wife.
