Recent studies show that current statistics point to Sonic The Hedgehog being more successful, and having more of a reason to be liked than Super Mario Bros. Sonic The Hedgehog is a game by the Japanese games company SEGA, and Sonic is their most well known and iconic character. Mario on the other hand, is the mascot for rivaling company Nintendo. These two companies have been rivals since the late 80s and early 90s, but have been working together on the odd occasion in recent years.
Despite this, the announcement of Sonic Forces has attracted the attention of a more vast audience, including but not limited to the long standing fans of the "Blue Blur", as well as "Edgy Teenagers" and more.
The latest piece of material from this game's official concept, is the song known as Theme of Infinite, which has racked up over 2 million views. Meanwhile, Super Mario's latest installment, Odyssey, has racked up just over 1 million views on it's most recent trailer video. This has strong indication that Sonic the Hedgehog is vastly "cooler" than the Italian plumber, and that he could very likely go a long way, and even surpass all Nintendo has to offer.
"Mario just isn't going anywhere any more, all that's being added is new gimmicks to replace core gameplay elements, and where core gameplay elements are used, it's not executed effectively enough" says one video game enthusiast, who has asked us to keep his identity hidden.
"Sonic is looking much more enjoyable and much more fast paced. I'm really looking forward to, and anticipating, the release of this new game."
