On Wednesday , December 29th, Kennedy Roy was walking home from the library at approximately 10:25 at night. She was alone and scared so she approached a lime scooter to get home quicker. However, there was 2 inches of snow on the ground. She thought it had been cleared enough by salt. Unfortunately it wasn’t. She slipped on ice while riding the scooter and did a front flip over the handle bars landing on her back on the concrete. She was immediately rushed to the hospital. Family says she broke her tailbone and neck. Putting her in a wheelchair for the next 2 months. Prayers go out to her, her family, and her friends.
