Naruto/Boruto is being cut the original series aired over 500 episodes. Boruto however has aired only 100 episodes, though this will be as far as it goes. Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto announced he was leaving the shonen jump company after discovering they had been keeping funds from him. Boruto will air one final episode Wednesday, April, 17 as a farewell to fans before becoming a relic of the past
