On June 17, 2017 a $14.25 Million lottery ticket was sold at Abilene’s HEB. Just weeks before the deadline, Misti Snodgrass of Goldthwaite Tx came forward to claim her winnings. She said she had been in town visiting a friend when she made the purchased. When asked why she waited so long to come forward Snodgrass said she was scared and feeling hesitant to become a millionaire. She decided to go public because she wants to give like no other. She plans to share her money with family, friends and the community.
