On June 17, 2017 a $14.25 Million lottery ticket was sold at Abilene’s HEB. Just weeks before the deadline to claim the winning ticket, Misti Snodgrass of Goldthwaite Tx came forward with the ticket. She said she had been in town visiting a friend when she purchased the ticket. When asked why she waited fo long to come forward Mrs Snodgrass said she was scared and feeling hesitant to become a millionaire. She decided to go public because she wants to give like no other. She plans to share her money with family, friends and the community.
