RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — EBT services for Virginia’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is experiencing technical issues which will cause a delay in benefits for the recipients.
It is unclear at this time when this issue will be restored and handled.
Anyone experiencing difficulty is encouraged to call (866) 182-4284 to check on when you will receive your benefits.
We are currently contacting agencies in different counties to see what is going on and to find out what counties are effected.
From what we know so far is that some group hacked the contractors who service EBT. They are adding extra securities and trying to find the leak and where they were accessed.
