Local fishermen Gene Crabtree and John Graham along with numerous other reports have seen a large reptile lurking in the waters of Shoal creek the woods around Grand Falls. The “beast” as it has been named is approximately 20 feet long with a head resembling a dragon. This “beast” has been seen in and out of the waters. Locals have lost cattle, chickens, goats and pigs to the roaming beast. Warnings have been issued to take precautions when swimming or fishing in the Grand Falls area. All precautions should be heeded for small children and pets in the area. Local Police caution everyone from taking matters into their own hands as there have been a few hunters lost in the swamps already.
