Due to the latest weather conditions Wayne County schools will be closing more often.
Linda Wells states that they have taken in to consideration the set back this will take on students summer vacation time. Just because there isn't snow or ice on the roads, doesn't make it right to have children outside waiting in the cold for school buses. Starting January 15th if the temperature outside is 32 degrees or less we won't be having school that day. We are looking out what is best for the children. We have been having 2 hour delays but even that has presented a problem for some children who have to wait outside to ride the bus.
