Garda warn public about kidnappers

In a very disturbing story which emerged late last night, a woman driving along the ballyogan road in south Dublin was stopped by what she thought to be a Garda car.
Horrifically the woman was confronted by two thugs who got out of the vehicle and attempted to attack and harass the woman and her daughter.

Thankfully, the woman managed to drive away unharmed.
Gardai have warned motorists of this type of crime, and have advised that if the driver has any doubt about the identity of the people approaching them, they should contact the nearest Garda station at once. A young boy was snatched yesterday evening while walking home from school in the ballyogan carrickmines area he is back safe and well with his family but if anybody sees a silver ford custom transit van that are pretending to be a member of the Garda please contact your nearest Garda station please be safe
