In August 2017 mr Gibson walked out of Brighton Le Sands local court house 10 years less of a 14 year sentence with no license. Mr Gibson would have only had to wait another three months before he was eligible to withhold his license again after already serving a lengthy 3 years and nine months, However Mr Gibson took it upon himself to go for a joyride in a modified V8 Commodore which would normally be stored in a well secured property of the family. Between the hours of 9:40 PM and 10:00 PM it is believed that Mr Gibson was doing burnouts along Devlin Road in the suburb of Castlereagh. Police were called in by local homeowners who had been filming this event. Travis, one of the homeowners had told police that the same vehicle had been doing burnouts the past three nights and had surveillance footage of such events. Police approached Mr Gibson at 9:42 PM in and on marked police vehicle with their lights on as to which Mr Gibson had ran from the scene. Detective Mick Taylor had been well aware of Mr Gibson from the year 2013 to 2015 and did not pursue. Detective Mick Taylor sent 2 marked vehicles to the property address where soon enough the obnoxiously loud Commodore pulled in the driveway. Mr Gibson was then arrested at 10:01 PM and is being held at Penrith LAC awaiting a court date.
