The recoloring takes quite a bit of handwork in Photoshop. Each item in the photo has to be isolated, clipped and then floated to it’s own layer, and then matched to the existing color and as you know matching can take a little bit of time to get it right. It’s not as simple as just “changing a color”. I feel that the price you receive already for the set up shots is a bargain at 30.00, and the bed shots are also a bargain at 50.00 per photo. That is a very good price for what you call “ ironing, positioning, lighting, etc.” It takes quite a bit of time to set those shots up and I basically break even on some of those that take a while. To recolor for 15.00 per shot is hardly worth the time it takes me to do all of that Photoshop work. You mentioned in your email that you have a lot of new products in line for recoloring. From this point on I would (and that would be reluctantly) do 25.00 per image for color matching but I would much rather keep the prices as they are. I feel that the pricing that we have already in place is very fair and honestly I don’t know of anywhere or anyone who can give you a better price for the work that I do for you. I fail to see why I have to lower my prices because you feel it is less work. The prices I give to Trade Linker Int. are actually 75 percent less than prices for work that I do for most of my other clients.
I hope you understand.
