Dollar Tree recently announced that they were closing all stores on October 1st of this year. In a complete about-face, this decision was reversed, with apology.

Heather Duncan, Director of Corporate Marketing and Branding for Dollar Tree, issued the apology after a firey social media backlash. "We are so sorry for this misunderstanding," Duncan said. She continues, "Not only are we keeping our stores open, but as a special offer, all in-store merchandise will be 75 off all weekend beginning with Black Friday." Black Friday this year falls on Friday, November 24th.

Duncan also said, "Don't believe everything you see on the Internet."
