Whilst most Texans were asleep in their beds, insidious actions were being undertaken in Austin. In a secret 2am session, the Texas House voted to name the "Blob Fish", the state Fish of Texas. Despite the Blob Fish being native to deep waters off of Australia and not Texas, it was decided to make this move to reinforce the strong bonds that Texas has to Australia, including noted dual citizens of Australia and Texas including Sancho Bartels and Darah Bartels. The Governor is expected to sign the bill.
