Clarins' new Extra-Firming Foundation
By Doug Newhouse, 29 July 2010

Clarins Laboratories has created Extra-Firming Foundation SP15, aimed at women in their forties who 'know what they want and head straight for the best'. Clarins says that the rich formula containing powerful plant extracts in this product offers women the effective firming and smoothing actions they are looking for in a foundation.

Clarins says that the soft focus effect created by this new member of the Extra-Firming line is caused by microsphere that reflect light in all directions: "This multitude of light reflections immediately creates a blur that optically 'erases' imperfections," says the company.

In turn, Clarins says this action delivers 'exceptional luminosity'. The product contains greater plantain extract for 'optimal skin firming', says Clarins, plus a plant-based micropatch which forms a hydrofilm providing both invisible protection against dehydration and a moisture reservoir.

Besides offering 'flawless application' the product also offers triple protection against UV rays, free radicals and pollution, with the various shades created by Clarins make-up artists for various markets. These shades include: ivory, cream, nude, beige, sand, wheat, honey, toffee, amber, chestnut and cappuccino.

The product is presented in a rectangular 30ml pump bottle in frosted glass with a beige-coloured applicator button.
