Dublin Airport welcomes the big Apple
By Doug Newhouse, 25 July 2010

The Loop shopping complex at Dublin Airport has welcomed the arrival of the long awaited Apple iPad at Dixons, which is one of only six other retail outlets in Ireland that has been able to obtain any stock and testimony to its popularity is that six were sold in the first hour of it being made available.

The iPad is expected to retail at The Loop from E.499 to E.799 ($644 to $1,031) depending on the model. It comes in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions and with wifi only and wifi and 3G access.

Paul Neeson, Director Retail ay the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA), welcomed the iPad to Dublin Airport and Ireland: "We are delighted to be part of this exciting innovation here at The Loop. Dixons at Dublin Airport is one of only seven locations in Ireland to have the iPad for sale and we feel this signifies our partnership with Dixons to bring the highest standard of product and latest technology to our customers."
