New stores at Heathrow
By Doug Newhouse, 11 March 2010

A number of new shops have opened recently at London Heathrow Airport, ahead of some new imminent openings, including a Longchamp luxury leathergoods store which will be operated by Aelia, the French giant travel retail company.

BAA Retail Concessions Director Brian Woodhead told TREND that a Rituals store opened in Heathrow Terminal 4 about four weeks ago which 'looks good and has started off well', with this store located on the right hand side of the terminal just after security and just beyond WDF's World of Whiskies outlet.

Rituals offers care products for the face, body, hair and hands, as well as cosmetics, fragrances and feelgood products.

Woodhead added: "We've also got Longchamp opening in Terminal one this week and this is the first time we have had a stand alone shop with this brand." He added that this boutique is being opened by Aelia and is the Paris-based operator's first airport store presence with BAA for a long time.

Last, but not least, Woodhead also confirmed that shoe and leather specialist L.K. Bennett is also opening its new store in Terminal 4 quite soon and this will be located next to the existing Cath Kidston store.
