Manchester still suffering

Manchester Airport's passenger traffic levels are still under pressure in the UK, with the airport reporting that its total traffic was down by -10.66% to 1m passengers in the month of February, with scheduled international traffic down 9.51% to 607,193; charter traffic down 17.07% to 244,607 and domestic traffic also down by 4.05% to 177,182 passengers.
On a moving annual total basis over the last 12 months, Manchester's scheduled international traffic fell by 6.92% to 9.9m passengers; charter traffic declined by 17.99% to 5.8% and domestic air traffic numbers fell by 11.63% to 2.5m passengers. For the 12 months to the end of February 2010, total passenger numbers at Manchester numbered 18.357m.
