Cyprus finds its car winner

Cyprus Airports Duty Free Shops held its latest grand draw for its 'hugely successful' Amazing Days series of promotions on February 23 at Larnaka International Airport where Kleanthis Papakleanthous, a male Cypriot, was declared the winner of a top of the range new VOLVO XC60 from an impressive total of 130,000 entries. Kleanthis received his car at Volvo's main showroom in Nicosia on Tuesday March 9 this week.
Cyprus Airports Duty Free Shops, Head of Retail and Marketing Martin Mullen said the 'key to the success of this promotion' was the support of its suppliers and in addition to Volvo, he points out that the promotion was also supported by Nina Ricci, Bombay Sapphire, Segue, MCM, Zenith and Celebrations. Passengers had the chance to increase their number of entries when these products formed part of their purchases.
He said: "We have had really great support from suppliers with this promotion. Our central promotions area gave them significant exposure as a partner and we offered more promotional space to highlight their brands in store."
Win a Volvo XC60' is the latest in the Amazing Days series of promotions which has seen previous winners jetting off to Las Vegas, Disneyland, Ascot, Rio de Janeiro and Cruising the Mediterranean. Customers enter the promotion by spending E.35 ($48) at the airport in the Cyprus Airports Duty Free Shops in Larnaka and Pafos.
Cyprus Airports Duty Free Shops says that the Amazing Days series will continue this summer with a focus around the FIFA World Cup.
