Harding Brothers lists MCM with Crystal Cruises
By Doug Newhouse, 11 February 2010

Under a new agreement, specialist onboard cruiseline retailer Harding Brothers is listing the new MCM Spring Summer 2010 collection onboard the luxury cruise liners Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity from March 2010.

The listing includes pieces from MCM's Flower Breeze, Semi Fashion Visetos Women, Pop Python, Ivana Patent and Night Train lines - offering a broad range of large and small leather goods for women. Retail prices range from $95 for an Ivana Patent Heart Key ring, to $480 for a Flower Breeze shopper, to $710 for a Pop Python small satchel.

MCM Global Travel Retail Director Gerry Munday said: "We're utterly delighted to be onboard two such top-end luxury cruise ships. Harding Brothers have carefully selected a range which includes both classically elegant and more modern designs of bag, along with gift items such as the bear and rabbit charms, creating a collection with wide appeal both in terms of price range and guest profile."

"A BROADER PRICE OFFER"
Harding Brothers Buyer-Fashion, Jill McClelland said: "MCM joins a prestigious range of designer fashion and leather goods brands onboard the Crystal vessels, including St John Sport, Alviero Martini and Mary Frances. We have chosen to add the MCM brand to offer onboard guests a broader price offer, yet retaining the elements that guests are looking for: originality, style, practicality and elegance."

Trading at the premium end of the cruiseline market, the Crystal Symphony and Serenity ships carry up to 940 and 1070 guests respectively, offering cruise itineraries in the Mediterranean, North Europe, Caribbean, North Africa, Mexican Riviera, Canada-New England, Trans-Pacific, Australia, New Zealand and Round the World.

Both incorporate 3,000sq ft Avenue of the Stars shopping arcades, featuring exclusive selections of fine jewellery, designer apparel and cruise wear. Crystal Cruises also offers a full range of private-label logo apparel, and the award-winning Crystal Home Collection of popular items, such as The Bistro's Guy Buffet porcelain tableware.

In addition, there is a selection of sundry items plus duty free cosmetics and fragrances.

Crystal Cruises is part of Nippon Yusen Kaisha - the NYK Line - and one of the world's largest shipping companies.
