Andersson joins Generation
By Doug Newhouse, 8 February 2010

Helene Andersson has been appointed International Sales & Marketing Director at Generation Research where she is working with Swedish analyst's flagship title Best & Most, as well as with TREND.

"I am very pleased to welcome Helene as part of our team," said Yngve Bia, President of Generation Research. "We look forward very much to working with her, a co-operation that no doubt will further strengthen and enhance our portfolio of products and services."

Helene joins Generation at an exciting time where the research house is transforming its previously subscription-only web site into a public access site open to all from April 5, 2010.

Best & Most was first published in 1979 in book format and has since remained the 'bible' of statistics and market intelligence for the global duty free and travel retail trading community.

"We see this opening up of our gigantic statistical database to everyone in the business to be perfectly in line with our long-time ambition to assist in providing a better understanding of the business. For 30 years we have preached and advocated the idea of transparency and sharing of data" said Bia.

Helene Andersson has a background in the tourism industry as well as in the travel retail business and she is returning to work with Generation after a few years working in public sector marketing in Sweden.

www.trend-news.com is a joint venture between Generation Research and the Travel Retail Business.
