Hershey's gives away house in promotion
By Doug Newhouse, 19 December 2009

Duty Free Philippines (DFP) has rolled out a new festive promotion in partnership with confectionery brand Hershey's, offering prizes of a house and a plot of land, three brand new Toyota Avanza's and 28 Honda motorcycles.

This follows Hershey's successful application - in competition with other suppliers - to run a big customer event at Duty Free Philippine's Fiesta Mall in downtown Manila.

The event has been running since December 1 and closes on December 31, at which time the company will have found winners for all of its prizes, including the top prize of a house and land situated south of Manila.

Entry is open to anyone living in Manila who has recently travelled and the entry requirement involves simply showing a passport as proof of travel.

Over 50sq m of space has been provided by the retailer for the selling area and over 100sq m of space has been dedicated to the display and entry area. To enter, customers purchase three Hershey's Pasalubong Gift Bags to get the chance to win any of the prizes.

Lilibeth Concepcion Cruz, World Travel Retail Director, The Hershey Company said: "This represents a big investment for us, but one that is certainly worth making. It's our way of saying a big thank you to our travelling customers during the festive season. We want our customers to feel that Hershey's is the best gift you can give your loved ones this Christmas.

"Duty free promotions are a big part of our travel retail strategy and we look forward to working with Duty Free Philippines and other travel retailers on further promotions next year."
