Bottega goes beyond Grappa/Spumante..
By Doug Newhouse, 24 April 2009
Distilleria Bottega has confirmed that its world does extend way beyond 'just grappa and spumante' with its Alexander Murano brand which it says has always stood for design and style and which is now offering a collection of blown glass pendants in the shape of stylised hearts.
The new products come in 'bright, striking colours for transparency and depth' in fire red, shiny black and polished mother of pearl.
The company said: "The Alexander Murano brand recalls the charm of blown glass bottles and the 'Art in Grappa' exhibitions, organised by the Italian Institutes of Culture in some European and American cities. Suitable for a young, trendy and chic female, these items of jewellery grab your attention with their simplicity and visual energy and attract the looks of others for those wearing them. They are an example of the true “Made in Italy”, 100% crafted in Veneto.
"The collection - exclusive for the world of duty free - was recently included in the onboard catalogue of five leading American and Asian airlines, which are very strict in terms of the quality of their service, the care of their passengers and attention to detail. Therefore on these flights passengers will be able to choose and purchase a pendant of Italian style and design."
The company says that this is a reasonably priced range of jewellery priced between E.30 to E.50 (between $39 and $66) with the hearts available in three dimensions (3, 2.5 and 2 centimetres in diameter). A rubber strap finishes off the pendant, making it suitable for formal or casual occasions.
