"Juicy" fragrance launch is first in Asia
By Doug Newhouse, 15 October 2008

Nuance Watson (Singapore) has launched another travel retail first in Asia with Elizabeth Arden's 'Juicy' fragrance, which it says is already a big success in the US market.

Ayaz Furniturewalla, General Manager of Elizabeth Arden Asia Pacific and Middle East Travel Retail and Distributor Markets, said: "Juicy has been one of the biggest fragrance successes in the United States and we are expecting similar successes in Asia. It is very important to collaborate with the right retail partner that shares the brand's vision, and Nuance-Watson (Singapore) is the perfect match with their extensive and comprehensive retail platform and excellence in execution.

"We have partnered with Nuance-Watson (Singapore) numerous times in the past and are confident that this initiative will be another success for both of us."

Ken Tse, Managing Director of Nuance-Watson (Singapore), commented: "We have always worked very well with Elizabeth Arden. Years back, I recall, when we were given the exclusivity to launch Provocative, sales were phenomenon for Arden. Likewise for Britney Spears; we yielded yet another impressive sales result. We look forward to seeing the same result for Juicy Couture given its exclusivity in Asia."

Nuance says that NPD (www.npd.com), a leading global provider of consumer and retail market research for a wide range of industries, ranks "Juicy" among the six best selling women's fragrances in the US in 2008.

Singapore Changi Airport is the first airport in Asia to launch the fragrance. "Juicy" (for women), together with "Dirty English" (for men) by Juicy Couture are now available at Nuance-Watson's perfume and cosmetics outlets in Terminals 1,2 and 3.
