WAPA to offer generator recharging effort

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (WAPA) announced plans to provide electricity to recharge personal generators once current has been restored to it's customers Thursday afternoon, according to a spokesperson for the company.

To take advantage this generous offer simply the directions below.

Once service has been restored to your home, all you have to do is plug your generator into a wall outlet in your home. That is it! During the hours of 9:00a.m. and 3:34p.m. WAPA will increase it's voltage supply to residents of the USVI and your generator will absolutely a backup charge which can be utilized during future service interruptions much to the same regard in which net-metering spins your electric meter backwards during solar charging.

This offer is available for all residents of the USVI, excluding commercial customers.
