In a press release Thursday, Wacker Polysilicon of Charleston Tn., denied any wrong doing in a large chemical explosion last week. Spokesperson, Janet Reno said in a statement that the company had filed a law suit against CMC, a local contract company for faulty welding and name d Mike Wyatt in the suit as the welder responsible for the weld. She added that Wacker had reached out to Mr. Wyatt but as of Thursday, he was still ignoring their calls and left them with no choice but to take legal action.
