Danville resident, Troy Wadhams will get to keep the almost two million dollars, a Danville police spokesman said on Tuesday. Troy found the brief case full of money in August of this year. The brief case contained $1,999,020 to be exact. He immediately called the police, thinking the money had been stolen or was being used in an illegal manor. The money has been held at the police station for over 30 days now with no leads as to where the money had come from or to whom it belonged. “I’ve never seen that much money all at one time before”, Wadhams told reporters Tuesday. “I plan to buy at least one new vehicle and a house out in the country”, he added. Police suggested that Wadhams not state to the public exactly where the money was discovered as police still believe the money was related to a crime.
