Dollar General announced early Friday morning September 8, 2017 that they are reaching out to smaller communities in Mississippi. They are planning on opening a store in McCall Creek. McCall Creek is a small town located in the east central portion of Franklin County approximately twenty minutes west of Brookhaven, Mississippi. Dollar General spokesman announced that they have acquired two acres of property two miles south of US Highway 84 on Burt Jordan road. "Construction should begin early December" said Dollar General spokesman.
