DFS 'solid' as LVMH revenue hits $23.3bn
LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has reported revenues of E.17.1bn ($23.3bn) in 2009, a -1% fall on 2008 and profit from recurring operations of E.3.352m ($4.585m) an -8% decline on the previous year. It also reported 'a solid performance' by DFS, despite the slowdown in global tourism, although its Miami Cruiseline business suffered from the economic slowdown in the cruise market and the decline in purchases made by American customers... Kraft Foods confirmed yesterday that it now has control of Cadbury, having secured 71.73% of the shareholding, with the remaining Cadbury shareholders expected to sell their shares. The UK confectionery company will be taken off the stock market once Kraft holds 75% of the stock.The takeover also effectively creates a travel retail giant with approximately $500m-worth of travel retail sales...
